Ah, Halloween—a night where the line between reality and the bizarre blurs, and, in our case, a night where we tossed that line entirely. Our Halloween Special, hosted at the mysteriously elusive Parlour in the heart of Amsterdam, was, let’s be honest, the stuff of legends (and maybe a few urban myths).
On October 31st, we cranked open the gates to an alternate dimension where ghouls, goblins, and inexplicably, a number of fried rice fanatics gathered to shake things up. Costumes encouraged? That was just the start—our guests came armed with spirit (and, occasionally, questionable makeup skills).
Let’s talk tunes. Our headliner, Wilson A., needs no introduction (but let’s pretend you’ve been living under a rock)—they’re the Netherland’s very own connoisseur of grungy anthems and a total crowd-dominator. As for our “surprise” guest? We introduced The Martins—because nothing says Halloween like soulful riffs, bass that makes your spine shake, and vocals that keep you guessing whether you’re at a gig or an exorcism.
And then there was the costume contest. Yes, we judged you. Ruthlessly. People went all out—from disturbing clowns to puns we’re still giggling about, the creativity knew no bounds. We awarded the best costume with a bundle of… well, let's just say, “highly coveted goodies” (ahem, Peppa Pig bubble gun, anyone?) that were worth every squabble for first place.
Between the dancing, the donations, and the lingering scent of fog machine in the air, it was a night to remember. The music didn’t just fill the room—it owned it, and in true Amsterdam fashion, made it a night that somehow balanced unfiltered chaos with pure, undeniable joy.
To all who joined us, dressed up, got down, and helped fund the arts in style, cheers to you. Let’s do it again soon.
